Perceiving herself as an ugly duckling, the woman simply wanted to be more attractive, have more options in life, and fetch a good husband. Attractive people have more opportunities in life than do ugly people, don’t they? She paid a high dollar to level the playing field, but it cost her even more in the end.

The extensive plastic surgery made her into a classical beauty, the swan that she so wanted to be: Beautiful on the inside and on the outside. The only problem was that her husband knew nothing about the plastic surgery, a secret she (and apparently everyone who knew her as a kid) kept from him.
